The Story of The Beatles Meeting Paul and John.

The story of The Beatles begins in 1956. Where a young 16-year-old boy, fascinated by rock and roll music, decides to found his own skiffle band called The Quarrymen. He listened to artists such as Elvis Presley and Chuck Berry. The group quickly gained local popularity. They played at various festivals. June 15, 1956 in the garden of the church. St. Peter's in Woolton played a concert during Wolton Fête, a celebration that wraps up the school year. Ivan Vaughn no longer plays in the band but brings with him a friend from the Liverpool Institute. Ivan feels that these two guys should get to know each other. Those guys were Paul McCartney. Paul enjoyed the performance and approached John after the performance. John and Paul hit it off immediately. Paul played "Twenty Flight Rock" for John on guitar

John: I was impressed with Paul playing "Twenty Flight Rock". He could definitely play the guitar. I thought he was as good as me. I had been the leader so far, but now I thought to myself: What will happen if I take him? It occurred to me that if I let him join us, I would have to keep him short, he was good and worth having. He also looked like Elvis, it suited me."

October 18 - concert at the Conservative club in Clubmoor Hall (also in Liverpool). Paul James McCartney appears on stage next to John. The story begins.

Paul plays solo guitar. The band plays, among others, Arthur Smith's instrumental hit from 1946: Guitar Boogie.

PAUL: They gave me a guitar solo on 'Guitar Boogie' in the first show. Everything went fine during rehearsals, but when my moment came, I felt that my fingers were wet. I thought to myself, "What am I doing here?" I was scared, it was a big moment for me, I knew everyone was looking at me, and I couldn't do it. That's why we took George in.

JOHN: I got along with Paul right away, I was a bit worried that my old friends were leaving and new people were coming, like Paul and George (soon - RK). However, we soon got used to each other. We started playing songs with a heavy beat like "Twenty Flight Rock". It's funny because we were actually still a skiffle group. My signature song was "Let's Have A Party".
